the way I’ve always thought of it—correct or not—
is not so much as a force,
but as a measurement;
the clearest manifestation of the degree to which a mass warps spacetime around it.When an object has enough mass,
it may even alter the path of light—LIGHT!
As far as we know, the fastest thing in the Universe.
