Savage Lee Writing: Mused By Morning Link post
Staff note: This is why he’s a dangerous writer… because he could be talking about anyone, but you bite your lip and hope, just for a second that he’s writing for you — even if it’s your first time reading him.

But you are a person, a real girl, not just a puppet or a photograph. You’re a real girl. You have a faults and whimsies and I bet sometimes you smell kind of funny and sometimes you’re short-tempered and mean, and you just want to eat cookies on the couch and be ignored.
But you make me want.
You make me want to write. You make me want to have daydreams, just so you can be in them. I want to write a world of fantasies, just to make you the stars that the world looks up to see.I want to write, to capture something in my mind, on my page, that communicates beauty like you do. I want my writing to be the dull white rock of the moon, reflecting the cosmic intensity of your endlessly bright nuclear flames.
You muse me, move me, amuse me.
You’re just a pretty girl I like.
But you make me want to write.
